967 Cadets Collecting for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal
The Cadets of 967 are once again helping to support the work of the Royal British Legion through the annual Poppy Appeal.
The Royal British Legion provides welfare to the whole Armed Forces family – serving, ex-Service and their dependants. Each year the nation expresses its unequivocal support for the Legion’s work through its generous support of the Poppy Appeal. It is one of the best known and supported campaigns in the calendar.
90th Anniversary Poppy Appeal
This year marks the 90th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion and 967 are supporting in everyway they can. Cadets are helping to collect for the Poppy Appeal in Clayton Green at the Asda superstore and also at the new Lidl supermarket in Lytham. Many of the Cadets are also willing to help out by volunteering their time not just collecting in the supermarkets but also by taking responsibility for a collecting tub and box of Poppies for more personal and local collecting.
